Tis The Season to Destress

Holidays are usually associated with family time, celebrations, and great food. However, holidays are also typically surrounded by stress. If you’re feeling overwhelmed going into the holiday season, use these tips to manage your stress so that you can fully enjoy your holidays.

Reflect: Sometimes we don’t even realize how stressed we are in the first place. So take 15-20 minutes each day to decompress. You can try meditation or simply spend 15-20 minutes each day doing something for yourself.

Get Adjusted: You might not feel like you have time to go to the chiropractor, but it’s worth it to get your nervous system in check.

Rest: Getting restful sleep is important for your body. It’s the only time our bodies can regenerate and heal which will help us tackle the following day. Check out these tips from Dr. Labott to help you focus on getting a good night’s sleep.

Take Things One At A Time: Don’t try to tackle more than you can handle. Shopping for gifts or preparing a meal for a large group are stressful enough on their own, but if you take each thing one step at a time you will get through your day more easily.

Relax: There are many different things you can do to relax, but a massage is the first thing that comes to my mind. We offer massages in our office and currently have an awesome massage special going on this week so give us a call to book yours.

Hopefully these small changes can make your holidays as enjoyable as possible! How do you tackle stress? Let me know in the comments.
